Microsoft Windows 2000 New Connection

  • On your desktop, double-click the "My Computer" icon.
  • Double-click on the "Control Panel" icon.
  • Double-click on the "Network and Dial-up Connections" icon.
  • Double-click on the "Make New Connection" icon.
  • The Network Connection Wizard will appear. Click NEXT.
  • Select "Dial-up to the Internet" and click NEXT.
  • The Internet Conection Wizard will appear. Select "I want to set up my Internet connection manually, or I want to connect through a local area network (LAN)." and click NEXT.
  • Select "I connect through a phone line and a modem" and click NEXT.
  • Leave the area code field blank, and enter the Andiamo dialup number you will be using.
    • If you are in an area where you must enter an area code for a local number (in the Phoenix area, for example) put the area code and phone number in the "Telephone Number" field - do not use the area code field or your computer will try to dial a "1".
  • Uncheck the "Use area code and dialing rules" box and click NEXT.
  • Enter your username (Do NOT incluce @andiamo-tel.com) and password and click NEXT.
  • In the box labled "Connection name" enter "Andiamo".
  • When the "Set up your email account" window opens, select "No" and click NEXT.
  • Click FINISH.
