Recommended Internet Explorer Settings
Internet Explorer has some options that we recommend setting up as follows:
- Start by getting into the Internet Options setting.
- Click "Start".
- Click "Control Panel".
- If you don't see "Control Panel", click on "Settings", then click "Control
Panel".
- Click "Network and Internet Connections". (If you don't see it, go to the next
step.)
- Click "Internet Options".
Once you're in the Internet Options settings window, continue with the following settings.
when you are done, click OK, then close all open windows.
- Set up your Internet Connection to connect automatically.
- Click the "Connections" tab.
- Select "Dial whenever a network connection is not present".
- In the "Dialup and Virtual Private Network settings" box, click on "Andiamo"
and then click the SET DEFAULT button.
- Disable Install on Demand. This prevents web pages from automatically installing
applications for you, preventing some types of adware and spyware from being installed
without your knowledge.
- Click the "Advanced" tab.
- Look down the list until you find "Enable Install on Demand (Internet Explorer)" and
uncheck it.
- The next item down is "Enable Install on Demand (Other)". Uncheck it also.
