Senior Systems and Network Administrator

Position: Full Time
Location: Scottsdale, AZ
Salary: DOE

Position Description:

The Senior Systems and Network Administrator is responsible for the management and support of all company software, hardware, server, user, and network systems. Reports directly to CTO -responsible for the design and implementation of company's systems and network technologies.

Position Duties:

  • Upgrade and maintain user desktops, company servers and network equipment.
  • Provide support to users on the network.
  • Maintain DNS and WINS servers.
  • Maintain firewalls, routers, email, SQL, NNTP and Windows/Unix file servers.
  • Implement and support RAID and disk backup configurations.
  • Configuration and fine-tuning of various company server systems.
  • Participate in evaluation, selection, and installation of computer hardware and software.
  • Evaluate and make recommendations on state-of-the-art technology improvements.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5 years experience in system and network administration.
  • Strong administration knowledge of Windows 2000/XP and Windows 2000 server.
  • Strong administration knowledge of Unix Solaris and Linux operating systems.
  • Configuration and support knowledge of email, DNS, DHCP, HTTP servers.
  • Extensive experience in configuration of firewalls, routers, and other network devices.
  • Microsoft and/or Cisco certification preferable.
  • Strong programming skills including awk, pearl or other scripting languages.
  • Understanding of network and data telephony technologies.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and proven ability to take projects to completion.
  • Must be able to adapt and learn new technologies quickly.
